Personal Safety

Everyone working for THINK Gas plays a significant role in making the workplace safe and work towards ensuring zero harm to people, asset, environment and reputation by:

• By intervening to prevent unsafe acts and conditions.
• By complying with applicable laws and regulations.

Emergency Response

We review our scenario-specific emergency response plans and test them by way of mock drills. We make sure we have the necessary resources to deal with different emergency scenarios.

Safety Culture

We intend to have a generative safety culture where safety is considered at par with any other business activity and is a foremost value.

GIIP (Good International Industry Practice)

We intend to exceed local regulatory requirements and have good international standard practices in place. We identify the potential incidents and take steps to mitigate them to an ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) level.

We share incidents, learning from incidents across the organization to create a working culture that increases safety awareness and prevents incidents.

Transport Safety

• In a challenging environment where thousands of people die in road accidents in India, THINK Gas primarily focusses on having a comprehensive road safety program for its drivers. The drivers are inducted to a defensive driving session before assigning the duties. These sessions teach safe driving techniques and focus on the ability to anticipate dangerous situations.
• THINK Gas has set high standards for vehicle safety with in-vehicle monitoring systems in place. THINK Gas heavy commercial vehicles are equipped with a front sensor with cameras to identify blind spots, rear parking cameras and sensors, Live GPS tracking, geofencing of the routes and face recognition system. Drivers are counselled on over speeding, harsh braking and seat belt deviations. Vehicle speeds are restricted by providing governors.
• THINK Gas intends to raise awareness and run road safety programs for the communities to help reduce road incidents in the areas we operate.

Environment

At THINK Gas, we are committed to protect the environment and respect the communities we operate in. We cause no harm to people and contribute towards building a low carbon future. We intend to:

• Manage emissions of greenhouse gases
• Use energy more efficiently
• Prevent spills and leaks of hazardous material
• Use less freshwater
• Conserve biodiversity wherever we operate

Biodiversity

• We conduct environment and social impact assessments for any new measure projects and carefully consider the potential impact on the environment and local communities before and after our operations.
• Our primary aim is to avoid the impact on biodiversity and ecosystem services. We take measures to restore the habitats and ecosystem close to our operations.

Working with Communities

Many of our operations are located close to communities. As a responsible company, we manage our impact on the people. We work to mitigate any possible negative consequences of our project. We work with industry experts to understand the effects our project may have on the livelihoods, land and culture.

Aligning with best practices

Working with local communities, we use international standards as our benchmark, including IFCs (International Finance Corporation), ESMS (Environmental and social management standard).
